Great Place to Work® is pleased to announce the inaugural Vietnam’s Best Workplaces™ award that will take place in 2022. This award honors the very best organizations that are effective in building high-performing cultures where employees trust their leaders, are proud of what they do, and enjoy the people they work with.

Businesses in Vietnam have faced severe disruptions in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Policies intended to control the spread of the virus, are necessary, but will cause operational challenges for businesses in Vietnam. Companies have to rapidly move operations online and as a result, had to expedite technology adoption and face an increase in cyber risks. Some had to implement job furloughs and some had to bid farewell to long time colleagues. Those of us who remained had to contend with connecting with one another without the benefit of “face time”.

Whilst this crisis has brought unprecedented challenges for people and society, Great Place to Work® Vietnam is humbled to recognize a select group of organizations who have chosen to pull through for their people and communities. We call them Vietnam Best Workplaces™.

Methodology to determine Vietnam’s Best Workplaces™

Companies that want to be on Vietnam’s Best Workplace™ list start by getting Great Place to Work-Certified™. To be certified, companies are required to launch the Trust Index© survey, designed to quantify how much trust your employees experience in the workplace, and to complete a Culture Brief questionnaire, which asks background questions about your workforce demographics and details that will be shared in your Certified Company profile.

From the list of currently Great Place to Work Certified companies in Vietnam that meet the basic criteria for the Vietnam’s Best Workplaces List, we then use our For Al Methodology to evaluate companies that meet the List criteria. 85% of our evaluation focuses on the core of what creates great workplaces: whether employees trust the people they work for and whether all employees are able to reach their full human potential, no matter who they are or what they do. We look at these experiences relative to each company’s size to compare peers to peers.

From our research, we also know that the best workplaces stand out because of their employees’ daily experiences of three areas: innovation, their company’s values, and their leaders’ effectiveness. Therefore, the remaining 15% of our scoring is based on these factors and how consistently they’re experienced by all groups.

Finally, we check major relevant events, news, and financial growth over time. We want to ensure that there aren’t any extraordinary reasons to believe that we couldn’t trust a company’s survey results.

Companies that made it to Vietnam’s Best Workplaces will be eligible for consideration for Asia Best Workplaces 2022.
