- Vietnam has had more companies place on Southeast Asia’s first Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For™ list than any other country in the entire region.
- It is also the only country with two employers in the Top 10: Vinmec Healthcare System at #7 and Highlands Coffee at #9, signalling Vietnam’s strength in both healthcare and consumer services.
- DHL claimed the #1 spot for the region, with Vietnam operations underpinning its success.
The Vietnamese job market might have a calm surface, but underneath there is an intense battle for skilled talent. Vietnam now has a workforce of more than 50 million people, yet sectors like IT and digital services face projected shortfalls of hundreds of thousands of workers, particularly in areas such as AI, data analytics and other advanced tech and green skills.
As the economy pivots towards high‑tech manufacturing and a fast‑growing digital economy, employers are finding that salary alone is not enough to attract workers. Flexible work, clear career pathways and a strong workplace culture are becoming critical to attracting and retaining Vietnamese professionals.
This week, Great Place To Work® ASEAN & ANZ announced the first ever Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For™ Southeast Asia, using over half a million confidential employee survey responses across 10 markets.
